2022 REMARKable Futures Scholarship Winners

Chick-fil-A Victoria REMARKable Futures Scholarship Winners 2022!

In 2022, Chick-fil-A will have helped over 80,000 team members by investing $135,000,000 towards pursuing their college education and achieving their REMARKable Futures!

Eight of our outstanding student team members, Amanda Arrisola, Marina San Miguel, Maranda Farrell, Jackie Ramos, Madison Nieto, Aleah White, Abigail Ysaguirre, and Brian Miska, applied for the REMARKable Futures Scholarship this year and all eight of them received the scholarship!

In true Chick-fil-A Victoria fashion, we decided to try and pull off an "EGGstravagant" surprise party for the recipients during our Team Member EGGstravaganza at Riverside Park on Sunday, March 27th.
The surprise party planning began weeks in advance with our Director of Team Goals and Education, Amanda Arrisola, calling up the recipients' parents to let them know that each of their children had been awarded the scholarship. (Amanda assisted in sending information about the scholarship out to our student team members, editing their essay submissions, and proudly writing letters of recommendation for each one of them.)
The news given to the parents was followed by the exchanging of many happy tears and praises. There was one catch though... The parents had to find it in them to not tell their children that all their hard work had just paid off and keep this exciting news top secret!

Weeks later, the day had finally come. We had the parents meet us at our M4 Corporate Office so we could distribute confetti poppers and form a train of cars as they followed the Chick-fil-A Van and Cow to the ongoing EGGstravaganza.

Upon arrival, we had all attendees gather around with our (unaware) winners front and center. As Amanda rushed in with the GIANT check in hand and parents in tow, cow bells rang, pompoms waved, and confetti flew with a roar of cheers and applause.
Huge smiles swept across the recipients' faces as they finally realized the celebration was for them. Many hugs were given, and the appreciation was evident. There were tons of pictures taken that marked this special moment.

In the end, a total of $17,000 was awarded to our team members. Thank you to the families that came out to celebrate with us and for showing their constant support to their loved ones. Thank you to Chick-fil-A for caring and presenting such an awesome opportunity for team members everywhere. These scholarships were so well deserved, and we couldn't be prouder of each and every one of these team members! They have and will achieve incredible things. We are blessed to have them as part of our Chick-fil-A Victoria Family.

Once again, congratulations to Amanda Arrisola, Marina San Miguel, Maranda Farrell, Jackie Ramos, Madison Nieto, Aleah White, Abigail Ysaguirre, and Brian Miska.

A note from our Director of Team Goals and Education, Amanda Arrisola:

"The love and encouragement Chick-fil-A contributes to the dreams of our team members is astonishing. It was a beautiful experience to assist our team members in the process of applying for the Remarkable Futures Scholarship. We hosted a “Scholarship Party” where we provided laptops, iPads, and essay assistance. Chick-fil-A Victoria is dedicated to assisting our team throughout their education journey and dreams.

A large portion of the scholarship application includes community service hours. Chick-fil-A Victoria provides our team with community service hour opportunities through our internal volunteer group, Chick-fil-A Victoria Cows for the Community. We strive to provide all the tools and resources necessary for our team members to achieve their goals. It is our pleasure to be a launching pad in the lives of our amazing team members.

Eight team members attended the Scholarship Party, and all were recipients of the Remarkable Futures Scholarship! I am truly blessed to have been a part of such an amazing, life changing award. I pray that we continue to provide a life changing scholarship opportunity to an even greater number of team members."
