Cows in the Community

Cows in the Community

Our Servant Hearts have been out and about serving different parts of our community!

Servant Hearts is a group of volunteer Chick-fil-A Victoria team members who get together periodically to serve various areas of Victoria. Each year our Servant Hearts get together and vote for what group of the community they would like to highlight and focus their services towards. This year was all about recognizing law enforcement for their heroic efforts and all they do to keep citizens of Victoria safe!

In September, the "cows" (our nickname for the volunteers) organized a trip to take the Chick-fil-A Trailer downtown to hand out Chick-fil-A sandwiches. They prepared lunch bags that were specially decorated with encouraging and supportive messages. The trailer was open to any component of Victoria law enforcement, which included officers, Sheriffs, dispatchers, game wardens, state troopers, etc.

The rain didn't keep anyone away! They were appreciative to have a nice snack to brighten the rainy day as they went on duty or to end their long shift. The cows felt it was the least they could do to repay VPD for their service to Victoria!

Our Servant Hearts were also recently invited to Chandler Elementary' s Trunk or Treat! They had a
SPOOKTACULAR time making the Chick-fil-A Victoria Catering van festive for the little ones. Students and their families raced to our van eager to grab Chick-fil-A goodies. We didn't go the traditional route by passing out candy, but our mini footballs and mini plush cows were quite the hit! It was a joy to see all the unique costumes and happy faces as people were getting in the spirit for Halloween and                                  Chick-fil-A.

Our Chick-fil-A Director of Team Goals and Education, Amanda Arrisola, has had the opportunity to oversee every Servant Heart Event which gives her a unique perspective of the group. She says, "Watching the team members and directors involved with Servant Hearts has been so heartening. It warms my heart that we are able to provide our team with volunteer hours to help them in their own journeys with school, or extracurricular activities. We encourage and allow them opportunities to serve our community that will benefit them for their future. Our team serves the community, from our children to our police officers, and treat all with honor, dignity and respect."
